Delivering an integrated customer portal for driver training

The business delivers high quality driver training services throughout the UK to enhance driver skills, driver behaviours and improve on-road safety. The service relies on very clear two-way communications across a network of independent driving instructors.

Pertemps Driver Training needed to find operational efficiencies to help with the growth of their business. The team knew that some sort of digital self-service offering would give their key fleet customers the ability to make requests and for the system to then seek out available signed-up instructors that could help fulfil the requirement. This was a blank sheet of paper, with new processes and procedures to be defined as part of the approach.

Element78 developed a Microsoft Dynamics-based solution with a fully integrated web portal for the management of training courses. The web portal supports all communications between the internal Pertemps Driver Training team and the external training resources.

The solution successfully answered all of Pertemps’ requirements. In simple terms, instructors are given bookings by the Pertemps Driver Training team to complete via the Portal. The Pertemps team can see live availability and accreditation of instructors, can visually find and select trainers with the right skills, can message trainers from within the portal, and automate many of the standard tasks associated with each booking.
